Welsh health minister Eluned Morgan has confirmed the devolved government will extend the NHS Wales Bursary scheme to eligible healthcare students studying in the 2024/25 academic year, and allow them to access the full amount of maintenance loan in addition to the Bursary.

Almost half of unpaid family carers not getting the support they need according to a survey by the Carers Trust, with over 40% saying the hours they spend caring have soared over the past year.
