A third of older people say they feel more anxious now than at the start of the pandemic, according to a new survey.

Cllr David Fothergill, chairman of the Local Government Association’s community wellbeing board, says the government’s social care plan contains far too little detail and no action at all on several crucial issues which need to be resolved and that the NHS cannot be fixed without also fixing social care.
